Bon voyage Mom

Well I am down today. Mom got Dad to sneak the luggage upstairs while I wasn't looking so she can pack her stuff. Well I sensed it, and I know, they are talking about it all the time. I am kinda mopping around today. We will be taking a long walk though in just a little while, so THAT I am happy about. I still plan on making a run for her luggage before she zips it up, but I doubt that i'll fit, she has a lot of things in there, i'm sure!

Yesterday was so much more of a better day.....

2 days to go...

My Dad has been in training all this week. Yup I said he's in training - to take care of me while Mom is visiting family. I am sad, it's only 2 days away. I know it's going to be tough but I also know that Jack has his Tall Guy and looks like he is treated REALLY well, and i'm sure my guy will do fine, I just like to play along with Mom cause really - shhhhh I am mommy's boy. She is telling him things like how many kisses to give me a day and how to do this and that, it's quite funny, cause I am a big boy BUT no matter what I WILL MISS MOM.

Just wanted to say "thanks" to all my buddies that wished me Happy Birthday and thanks to their Humans too! It was a great Birthday!

Happy Birthday to ME.....

The first photo is of me today 4 years old and the other one is of me 9 weeks old - wow I was cute and oh so shiny kind of like velvet is what Mom says. Ok so today is my birthday and Mom is making a big deal, like singing to me and stuff. It's great! I told her I wanted to have a party with all my friends but she said it would take them all too long to get here. So if you want to have a piece of banana bread that my mom made as my birthday cake - tell all your peoples that that's what you want in honor of my 4th birthday : ) They will have no choice to give it to you, cause I asked - and I am the Birthday Boy today! Guess what, I got a new ball for my birthday - Mom says it floats, but really, who cares, I do NOT swim Mom, she just hasn't given up on the idea yet. Oops wait, Mom wants to type something:

I wanted to let everyone know how Parker is in my heart and eyes the Best Dog Ever . He is truly inspiring, he has had a rough year, as it is already 1 year ago this month that he started limping on and off. He went through a tough surgery (TPLO) and has recovered tremendously well. I am so proud of him and thank him for giving me all the love and friendship, he is truly my best friend! Thanks as well to all my fellow tplo'er moms who have made this ordeal easier to get through.

1 week

Mom just told me she is off to visit her family in Switzerland next Sunday for 2 weeks. I am really bummed out about it, so I had some ideas, cause I was starting to panic so I told her, maybe I could start running to Arizona and spend time with JACK or I could go to the Keys and spend time with MOOSE - but then she told me that Dad is staying home with me, yippie!!!!! Phew, I thought I was going to the sports club again, don't get me wrong it's a cool place, but I dig staying home. I do think she deserves some time to spend with her human family, even though I know she will miss me a great deal. Also, Dad is going to be taking photos of me and emailing them to mom while she's there and hopefully, one of us will be able to let all my friends know what's going on. I have decided that Bruno is going along for the trip again. As some of you might have seen; back in March my parents went on something called a Kroooz, they brought Bruno with them and he brought me back lots of stories and photos. I told Bruno that he was going along with her:

Also, Mom says that she will be bringing me a few presents from the trip - one thing I requested was a small swiss cow bell, let's see if she brings me one. I am bummed out but there is still 1 week before she leaves, so that's A LOT of time for me and her to do many fun things together, AND it's MY BIRTHDAY on Tuesday!!!

So who would like to join me. It's a beautiful sunny day here in Montreal and i'm just chillin' outside near the pool. Now if any of my buddies would like to swim in there that's fine too, as mom always says - how could you be a Lab and not swim in there....Well, she doesn't know how we really function. I bet some of my friends are the same as me, and would much rather just enjoy sittin' relaxin' and listening to the outdoor sounds.

What is that!!!! Who is that!!!! There is something tresspassin' on the front of our lawn. I barked and barked, but it wouldn't leave....can anyone help me out? We saw it when we were out on a walk last week and I wasn't happy about it then, but this???? Wow he's got some nerve to be sitting there!

Minnie Moo's Challenge

At my buddy Moose's request, i've decided to do the "face in the hole" thingy, also known as Minnie Moo's Challenge. It took me some time to figure out who i'd like to be, but thought that since mom is a football fan and likes some guy named Brett Favor, then if I could be anyone else but myself - a handsome choc. lab named after Spiderman, I would want to be Brett. Those guys are cool, they run around on a field and throw a funny shaped ball around. But hey any guy who runs around with a ball is a friend of mine. LOOK AT ME.....lol

OK, so I was in Mom's office layin' here and got her blackberry. I am staring at it, but not sure how to communicate with you on your big guy's iPhone...hmm, I think we should buy our own then they won't know what we're writing to one another.....LOL. OMG, that sure looks like me on the screen - oh wait YES it is - awww Mom loves me.
